I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and began my career in mixed practice before joining the Animal Health Trust (AHT) in Newmarket as a senior veterinary nurse. In 2008, I gained the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Medicine). Since then, I’ve published articles, earned a certificate in small animal nutrition, and continued my professional development. Following the closure of the AHT in 2020, I joined IVC at Cedarwood Vets, becoming the Purina Champion to advise clients on pet nutrition. In 2024, I took on a temporary role as Course Director for Animal Studies Level 3 at West Suffolk College, which sparked an interest in teaching.
However, my passion remains in veterinary nursing, helping animals recover and thrive. I re-joined IVC and now work with the lovely teams at Haughley & Thurston Vets and Cedarwood Vets. Outside of work, I enjoy Pilates, swimming, and spending time with my cat, Smartie.
